Literally this week I published a blog article about the work of Ali Dogan Sayiner at Iliada Game Studio, and now we have the sad news that Ali is having to close the laser-cutting side of the business.
Ali has been struggling with his health and, in particular, his mobility for a long time and the movement that running the workshop needs is taking its toll. If he's ever going to recover, he needs to be able to be more sedentary.
Thankfully, he has been reskilling to design and print 3d miniatures and his early offerings are up there with some of the best 6mm ranges on the market, so I'm hopeful that Iliada will continue and go from strength to strength. Also hopefully, someone will take his designs and/or his laser-cutting equipment off his hands to make sure that his lovely designs stay on the market and continue to evolve and improve.
