Having previously presented two Solar Auxilia tanks in the form of the Leman Russ and the Malcador, I turn, now, to the Space Marine tanks: the iconic Predator and the newfangled Sicaran.
Predator
The Predator comes with two variants in the Legions Imperialis boxed set: the Destructor with the Autocannon, and the Annihilator with the twin-linked lascannon (not pictured above).
Element | P | M | F | A | D | Traits & Upgrades | Cost |
Predator Destructor | 2 | 6 | 4 | 2 | 3 | Rapid(3), Elite | 35 |
The Predator is by no one's definition a Main Battle Tank, so I place it firmly in the "Light Cavalry" category. But these are space marines so, naturally, they're going to be Elite quality. The mobility of the Predator is its most defining feature, so I added +1 M for 2 points as a basic upgrade. But the Predator really is the sine qua non of light cavalary element in the Dark Millennium, so I stopped there.
For the Annihilator, just add the Laser upgrade.
Element | P | M | F | A | D | Traits & Upgrades | Cost |
Predator Annihilator | 2 | 6 | 4 | 2 | 3 | Rapid(3), Elite, Laser | 38 |
The Sicaran
Element | P | M | F | A | D | Traits & Upgrades | Cost |
Sicaran | 3 | 5 | 5 | 2 | 4 | Rapid(3), Elite, Active Countermeasures | 54 |
Obviously, the Sicaran is heavy cavalry. There are a range of variants of this tank, but in the boxed set you only get two: the basic and the plasma-equipped and gloriously-named Sicaran Omega!
The one above is the basic Sicaran. It's Elite heavy cavalry with +1 M and Active Countermeasures.
Element | P | M | F | A | D | Traits & Upgrades | Cost |
Sicaran Omega | 3 | 5 | 6 | 1 | 4 | Rapid(3), Elite, Plasma, Active Countermeasures | 63 |
The Sicaran Omega gets an additional +1 F basic upgrade and the Plasma upgrade on top. And many tanks to patron Ne Obliviscaris in particular for their feedback on this element.
